My parents think I won't be able to move out. I think I can.
I have 6.5k saved up. I began applying to jobs in Edmonton mid April. I am looking (at most) $1400 max budget for rent. I am moving out alone, I know how to budget meals and have one meal stretch multiple meals. I also have an e bike (pedal variety) and enjoy walking.
My parents right now keep repeatedly telling me I am going to fail. That I am making a huge mistake. They don't listen to all the prep I've done for months for this. I also put forward steps already (quit my 3 year old job, applied to a bunch of places and jobs in advance, told everyone I am moving) that I can no longer reverse.
I decided to come to reddit to ask how realistically long i can last without any additional income, and if the chances of me surviving in the big city are possible.
