Starting a storeman position in about three weeks, I'll be brand spanking new to mining, I'm coming from a agricultural background with 5 years of tractor dealer spare parts experience. I am working at a residential gold and copper mine so no FIFO.
Are there any experiences from my farming career that I can lean on to help me with my new adventure? Will my warehouse experience from my dealership be valuable or useless.
Most importantly as a new comer to mining what sort of fuck ups can a non mining person accidentally do that I should be aware of?
Please be aware that I'm Australian so the blunter your advice is the better.
