Not sure what happened or what to do
Two weeks ago my cat was diagnosed with cancer and a small tumor that formed on his toe. He was set for surgery, the tumor was removed, and he was put in a wrap to prevent him from getting at the stitches.
He had a recheck this past monday, everything was said to be fine and he was healing.
On thursday he starts getting antsy, hiding, and anxiously grooming the area just above where the bandages are.
Today, saturday, he gets his bandages off and his paw and arm looks like this; almost like he was burnt. Idk wtf happened. He went from having a perfectly normal looking leg on Monday to this.
Im at a loss for words. I expect him to look a little rough after the bandages came off, but this looks like he had an allergic reaction to something. I dont think my vet did anything wrong. She has cared for our pets for 8 years with never an issue.
Has anyone ever seen something like this? Any comfort would really be appreciated right now as I work with my vet to get him the care he needs.
