Trying to find an old Google Street View image of me and my late dad
Hi everyone, this is probably a long shot but I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me find an old Google Street View image.
I’m looking for a Street View capture from around 2007–2009 near:
70 Croydon Road, BR3 4DP, London, UK
The image showed a Black man with two young Black girls in red school uniform crossing the road. I believe one of the girls was me.
I was born in 1999, so I would have been around 7–9 years old at the time. My dad has since passed away and I don’t have any photos of me and him together, so finding this image would honestly mean the world to me.
I’ve already checked the historic Street View imagery on Google Maps/Earth but haven’t been able to find it. I’m wondering if:
older Street View archives still exist somewhere,
anyone knows a way to access removed UK Street View captures,
or if anyone has experience recovering deleted/hidden Google imagery.
