Shinobu slander is not the same as bumgen slander

I want to preface this by saying, the shinobu slander is well deserved. In fact I was one of the first to warn careful that this where we were headed if he kept it up. That being said some of you think that slandering the two is the same and I'd argue they're objectively not:

  1. Power scaling: Most shinobu slander is about how Douma negs her but this is literally true for most base hashira, when we say bumgen loses to Gyutaro it's actually meaningful slander because it's not that high a bar(granted I'm not sure shinobu gets past it either).

  2. Plot relevance: I'm sorry but however you look at it, just objectively, tengen is the least plot relevant hashira while shinobu is one of the most important ones. Any slander trying to portray otherwise is simply wrong. If you disagree ask yourself what happens if EDA doesn't exist? Gyutaro and daki get negged in ICA by almost any hashira, tanjiro still gets mark in EDA. Some of you might next jump on to rengoku but unlike bumgen, rengoku is constantly brought up long after he's dead as a major source of motivation to the MC. That's why even rengoku slander is not the same.

  3. The glaze: A lot of you forget that shinobu fight is literally the most recently animated fight, majority of you have no idea what the community was like after EDA was animated. It was terrible and the slander was earned over years of such glaze. I can easily prove tengen glaze is worse than shinobu: you can simply check Zephyr's karma against Particular Bit's. And any reasonable person can admit Bit has worse arguments. Plus shinobu glazers at least don't argue the rankings are inaccurate, it's all around a more reasonable agenda to push than tengen agenda because scaling her to UM2 is better than scaling Gyutaro to UM2.

  4. Ability: I honestly don't understand why people hate shinobu for being the underdog, like sure you can slander her with this but it's kinda weird. Like making fun of might gai for not having ninjutsu. Maybe you guys are like akaza and you just hate the weak but can you see why it's easier to hate the bum who has the second best physique, bombs, poison and it's resistance, enhanced hearing, explosive blades and MST only to still be bottom of the barrel? Makes a lot more sense, to me at least, to like the one who made the most of what they were given than the other way around. But hey that's just me...

Ultimately it is subjective which character you're going to like more and I'm not trying to discourage that but for the sake of discussion, these are some objective differences I can think of that seprate *my* treatment of the two characters at least.

So call shinobu a bum if you want but she's not like Tengen imho. Can't believe I come back from a break to find this shit, I'mma dip again.

Anyone else kinda sick of a *particular* user claiming they "neg diffed" everyone? Well not just him (but mainly him). How do you guys feel about choosing a set of judges to settle debates? this not to impugn on your right to have different opinions just to stop you from slandering elsewhere on this sub about how you supposedly destroyed someone in debate when in reality you may have got belt to ass. Moderators can maybe remove such comments.

Anyway here's what I had in mind: Every judge has a jurisdiction within which they can pass rulings, if it's publicly known they have an agenda related to the topic itself it will be outside their scope. I think I have a rough idea on most of frequenters' agenda but I'd still appreciate someone bringing something to notice that I may have missed.

Now for choosing the judges, first you guys vote 3 names each and give reasons for why they'd make good judges(NOT why they're your good friends or smn). From this we can pick up the 5 most common names and put it up for a poll then finally we can discuss what topics each judge should be excluded from ruling on.

Excuse and grammatical or spelling mistakes, I didn't proof read this.

I'll go first:

u/Cold-Challenge-6105 : retired scaler, on good terms with everyone.

u/plskillmeplsdoit : He's very reasonable in debates, I've never read his comments and come out thinking he's just pushing an agenda. Like yes the rengoku=akaza thing is glaze but at least it's a real statement, he's not just taking it out of context or completely fabricating it.

u/OG_N4836 : Even if he has an agenda he will change his mind if you have a reasonable argument, from what I've seen.

For the mods, we need your support on this if sub members agree and also Gyutaro>Zenitsu.
