What if HotD was about these 3 as main characters with their consorts (Helaena, Daemon and Alys) and parents (Alicent and Viserys) being secondary characters??

I say this because characters like Daemon and Alicent eventually lose their relevance as the Dance commences. What's more, it is Aegon and Rhaenyra that are the claimants of the Dance, with Aemond flirting with the ambition to king himself, at some point.

So why not make it about the siblings and not two besties, with one not even related to the dynastic bloodline at war (cough, rhaenicent)???

What's funny about this is that it contradicts the show's narrative that Viserys hates his sons and wants them off the board e.g on Driftmark when he threatened them and was ready to have Alicent's tongue ripped out for spreading the fact that Jace, Luke and Joff are bastards.

He could've just let Aegon compete in the tourney and be one son down with 2 to go, so that Rhaenyra can sit the throne lol.

Yet he's one of the few characters in s3 that actually left an impression on the audience.

Precisely what I thought. They need to band together now, and they could make amends along the way. But for now, they have yet to address their grievances with each other and process that.

People out there really think fandom is activism when kids just collect cool looking funkos or just love character aesthetics and clearly don't watch the show because it is PG. Egg's actor loves Aemond and his aesthetic. Weirdos would accuse him of watching the momson stuff. This is getting out of hand.

Which would be a continuation of her episode 1 behavior. Helaena spoke honestly to her about Aemond suffering from fear, and Alicent weaponised that to try and convince Aemond to leave King's Landing, and when that failed she resorted to inflating his ego to the point of leading him on to act on his affection for her (confirmed from behind the scenes commentary).

Good thing is, if she's sent to Harrenhal for whatever reason to weaponize the affection Aemond has for her against him, Alys will be there to ruin her plan. At least there's that. Olivia confirmed there will be an Alys and Alicent scene. 🤔
