Are fake plants bad for fish?

I have fake plants currently in my tank till i’m about to get real ones. But i was thinking what if i mix the real and fake ones if needed. So are fake plants bad? Or are they just not appealing?

No one takes fish seriously

It upsets me so much how most of the people i’m around think i’m being so uptight about the fish that i’m getting. I’ve been told multiple times that the goldfish are most likely going to die in a week. It just upsets me that no one takes fish seriously and think there just decor.

Pebbles for goldfish

Are these okay for goldfish? I know pebbles can be a chocking hazard and can get stuck in their mouths but i’m planning on mixing with sand. But i’m wondering if these are too small.

I’m getting 4 new fish in a couple weeks from someone one i know and i want to be the best fish mom for them. To begin, what type of grounding do i need? i have a black goldfish, a regular goldfish, a koi fish, and a pleco fish. I’ve seen that gravel and sand are not good for goldfish so are rocks my only option? I wish i could add plants but i cannot have an open cage so i will try to find a substitute for that. what food do you prefer, and how do i clean the cage? I’m excited for these fish and the cage is a good size for the 4 of them so please help! Thank you!

Note: the pleco fish is not in the photo, and i do have cats.
