New Rule Discussion: Misinformation

Time to time I see people post flagrantly and easily disproven things here, and it is chafing my nips something fierce.

I would like to institute a rule banning misinformation or disinformation, but before I do I would like to open up a forum to hear thoughts, concerns and general takes.

Some thoughts that immediately come to mind:

  • How strict? Do people have to post a source for everything? That seems draconian, but where is the line?
  • Immediate ban or warning? If a ban, how long?
  • What do we do in the case that a source is provided, but the source is "unreliable"?
  • Why are people still so weird about bidets? You can get one from Amazon for like $15 that takes 5 minutes to install and gets you far cleaner than toilet paper. If you get shit on your hands, would you just wipe paper on it and think "job done, I fancy a sandwich"? I don't get it.

This rule would apply to everyone. I don't care if the take benefits the left or the right, lies and the spread of misinformation are not welcome.

What makes you choose who your commercial insurance agent will be?

I am a commercial risk advisor and insurance agent who only works in tech/ digital media companies in the US. I will stop there to avoid self promotion.

My biggest frustration comes from having to prospect. My skillset is in insurance and tech (I worked in software and cybersecurity before commercial insurance) and absolutely not in sales.

I find myself going up against shitty agents who are great salesmen all the time and I feel I am constantly watching these used car salesmen just dominating because they know what to say, where to apply pressure etc etc.

Insurance is something you cannot test out until you need it, so as much as I hate to admit, I need to learn this dance because I believe my value only becomes evident when a client needs to claim.

So how did you pick your agent?

Wanting to develop my own style with zero experience

Hi there. I am not experienced in the slightest with drawing aside from my own sketches. Imagine telling someone to start a car when all they have experienced are Taxis and Ubers.

I would love to make welcoming and art for stories I write, so I would like to seek any advice or critiques before I develop any horrendous habits.

This was all done using Sketchbook on Android with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
