Thanksgiving lunch: go or skip?

EDIT: The choice was obvious: I will get food delivered so I can relax and stay warm at home. Thanks everyone!

I went to the community Thanksgiving lunch last year and honestly didn't enjoy it. It's basically the only one in my small town being hosted by the same person behind the summer farmers market. I ended up going home after eating and taking a nap afterward.

It's coming up again this year and I'm trying to figure out if I actually want to go or just get it delivered. What would you honestly do if you were me?

I'm Done Trying To Find Friends

It’s so hard to say this out loud, but I’m just going to be real. I am so tired of trying to find my people here. I’m in my mid-twenties, and it feels like everyone my age either left or we just don't value the same things. To be brutally honest? I am completely tired. I’ve tried putting myself out there, but after burning out so many times, I’m just done. My trust is broken. I just don’t have the energy to be nice. It’s lonely, it sucks, and here I am complaining on Facebook like a bitch because I'm done giving a shit. And I don't need fixed by anyone. Loneliness is not something you can fix anymore. I want someone who gets it. But I guess that will never happen here in my small town until most people learn to actually listen to my issues and can relate.
