Truck shuts off while driving only when its hot outside
I have a 2012 Gmc canyon 5.3 I've had it for about 2 years and only have problems in the warmer/hot months. It shuts off unexpectedly while driving. No warning, no power, no brakes. The first time it happened we thought the starter. Still happened. The engine itself gets extremely hot so my husband thought the ECM Computer was getting overheated and changed it. That didnt work. Then we changed the spark plugs, wires, and coil packs. Then we changed the crankshaft positioning sensor. Then the ignition switch. He has went through and cleaned the ground wires. Even added some grounds. Up until recently it would start back up after i popped the hood to let it cool down for a few minutes. Now its anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. We've had it towed home twice, only for it to start back up when we get here.
