Time in the Universe

As I’m watching Predator Badlands the Android - played by Elle Fanning - says: “Of all the time I’ve been stuck here I never get tired of the view.”

It is on a planet that’s not Earth. In a solar system that’s not ours.

The Predator asks “How long have you been here?” (The predator himself is from another planet possibly in a different solar system.)

The android says it has been on this planet for:
“Two year, 13 days, 7 hours 43 minutes and 2 seconds of her life.”

But those time frames are relative to the viewer not to the Predator. His time references would be different as to the duration of time in days and years on the planet they’re on.

Why would he ask that question if its answer and frame of reference would be incongruent to what he perceives as days and years?

How does science fiction make sense of time in the universe when time is relative to our perception of it from Earth?

Saduchi Lime Summer Edition

Is this current Sanduchi Lime going to be carried forward or will it be discontinued? I gotta stock up if so.

Original Bradley Smoker

Is this wear from being an old smoker? Or is this faulty craftsmanship?

From the get go I’ve always had trouble with the back heating bar actually working. Ruined a few cooks because I didn’t notice it wasn’t heating up. I would often wiggle the power cord from the burn box to the back of the unit to see if it would kick in. Usually it did and I’d be good. Now it just won’t heat up.

So I took it apart to ohm out the limit switch and the electrical lines and I noticed immediately after removing the back cover the char marks. This *could* be smoke from use that just gets behind no? Or is this damage from a short or loose wire? I noticed the leads from the electrical plug to either end of the heating element were loose and one end just came right out with the slightest touch. I flipped the unit over and unscrewed the ceramic bars holding the heating element in place and noticed the remaining lead is also quite frayed.

Should I order a new bar? Or just ditch this unit an upgrade.

I custom built a smoking hut to house this exact unit outside year round though I never use it in winter. It was more to keep rain off it during summer months with passing storms and what not.
