My husband and I might have to pull our application due to a family member with cancer. Are there any other options?
My Aussie husband and I filed for a marriage based green card (along with EAD and Advanced Parole) March 27th and he had biometrics May 1st. Unfortunately my husband's father who lives in Australia recently got diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. We are thinking it may be time to go to Aus but can't with the pending greencard or we will be forfeiting the Greencard application. We could pull our application and try again from Australia but we worked SO hard for this one and paid the fees that it would really be unfortunate to have to do that. Is there a way to speed along advanced parole or a way to leave for a few months without having to forfeit your application? Just all around a sad situation.
