Dark Urge Companion Mod - Update 1 (Recruitment Scene)
Where am I? What's going on?
A lot of people were interested in companion Durge, so here's a quick update on the story so far!
I've been full speed ahead on dialogue and cinematics, and made pretty good progress on Durge's recruitment scene. You can see the whole cutscene here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDwAVtj210M
Durge's lip sync looks normal now thanks to AkELkA's hard work on Clansong (you can see how cursed vanilla lip sync is for Dragonborn in my previous Durge video💀 ). Pls do yourself a favor and check out their amazing Dragonborn mods:

Lots of work ahead, but the key cutscenes for Durge's personal quest (and the logic driving them) are my main priority right now.

Do you have an ETA on release?
NOPE. I’m building this plane as I fly it and I still have a long way to go in uhh… every department, really. I’m straight up dreading having to write my own version of the script for selecting Dark Urge’s favorite person. 😅
I'm also juggling this and a bunch of other mods, so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Who's doing the voice work?
Right now, I’m making do with recycling what’s already there in the game files – release and Early Access – for Durge/Tav 5 (both voiced by Neil Roberts) and the Narrator. I'd really love to commission additional voice work from Neil to help Durge feel more alive as a companion. But failing that, some VAs have already reached out to me about voicing him (!!), so that’s an option too! I will not be using genAI to create more voice lines.
Will Durge be romanceable?
That's the plan!
Will Durge be a fully customizable companion?
No, you will have to use an appearance edit mod to customize him. While I have the option to enable the magic mirror for companion Durge, that will still lock down his race and body type.
Will this come to console?
No promises; console approval is something only Larian can decide.
