I'm not an everyday gamer. I originally bought COD to play prop hunt tbh. I still play mostly prop hunt and some multiplayer here and there. I know i suck, but its fun. Today, I was exploring the menu and discovered all the tokens Ive collected. Im an idiot, I could have been using these the whole time I was trying to get my weapons leveled up for my classes. Bruh.
Basically kept getting this same subreddit pushed in my feed, but something was weird and off about it. Discovered it was most likely a scam, since every post is made by the mods and trying to direct people to their merch website... when i made a post to warn others the mod team quickly started to retaliate by doxxing my post history and harassing me by commenting on old comments I had made in other subs.
Running into issues trying to fill out the reddit report form, so I came here.
Thoughts or advice?
Took me a while to figure out what was happening with this subreddit... it was new and vague, with weirdly only one rule. But I kept seeing the links and reminders for the website. Did some digging and eventually discovered that this subreddit exist entirely to help direct web traffic to their scam website.
You'll be able to purchase clothes and items on the website, but they will never arrive. Thats the scam.
Be careful out there and please report!
Also, keep in mind this post is absolutely in compliance with the subreddit rules. If it gets removed then its 100% because the mods took it down in an attempt to keep their scam going for longer.
