Reduced to one daily text only.

After using the free version of the iPhone app without problems, I first encountered this issue at the weekend, which I thought was some kind of glitch or simply an issue of the system needing to reset itself.

But after leaving the entirety of Monday without opening the app to be sure there was no overlap, and another two days of opening the app only to get one, single, solitary message/refresh before I’m told that I’ve hit the daily text limit, I’m at a loss because in settings under storage, it still says the limit is meant to be ten and not one.

Is it an issue with my phone? Do I need to restart it or reinstall the app? (Which I’d prefer to not do given that would probably lose my chats.) What’s going on?
