[Routine Help] Have a cold sore that hasn’t blistered after days

Hoping to find some info here. I don’t recall getting a cold sore before (I do have hsv1 though) but google tells me the beginning stages happen pretty quickly. On Wednesday or Thursday of last week I noticed a hard bump on my lip. Didn’t notice previous tingling or anything. The following day and since then I’ve been taking 1G valcyclovir daily. Since Sunday I’ve been using abreva, and yesterday I started l lysine pills and I did a hydrocolloid patch overnight. After using that patch, the bump is more swollen and hurts more. Before it wasn’t noticeable to others and now I think it is.

I just haven’t had the bump turn into a blister. It’s just a hard (and now more swollen) bump. Attached pictures to show it’s just…there. But when I push my tongue against it, it does look like fluid is in there. I pushed my tongue on the other side of my bottom lip and it doesn’t do that, so I feel it must be fluid I’m seeing.

Anyone else experience this? Everything I’ve seen online says that it’ll be visibly fluid-filled pretty quickly (1-2 days?). I can’t tell if the hydrocolloid patch is making it progress or just causing more of an issue.
