Wall Street sees AI gains, but AI skeptic Ed Zitron says they should be "declaring failure."

Wall Street is starting to point to AI revenue as evidence that Big Tech's massive spending is paying off. Ed isn't buying it. As Ed puts it: "I'm not sure how the mathematics works here."

At what point does the AI revenue actually justify the scale of the spending?

Is the AI trade getting broader?

AI related stocks are having a strong day, but what's interesting is where the strength is showing up. CoreWeave jumped more than 19% after reporting improved operating margins. Super Micro surged after earnings and strong guidance. Nebius climbed more than 20% on better than expected revenue, while Lumentum also moved higher as demand for data center infrastructure continues to grow. We're also seeing companies further down the AI infrastructure chain benefit. Amphenol, for example, said sales in its IT datacom business surged 89% last quarter, with its CEO saying virtually all of the sequential growth came from AI related products. For much of the AI boom, attention has centered on chips and the biggest tech companies. Are we starting to see the opportunity broaden into cloud infrastructure, networking, optics, power and other companies supporting the buildout?

What areas of the AI infrastructure chain are you watching?

How do you decide when it's finally time to sell?

Buying gets most of the attention, but selling is often the hardest part of investing. Do you sell based on:

• A target price?

• Technical signals?

• Fundamentals?

• Portfolio allocation?

• Something else?

Curious how everyone approaches it.
