I finally did it.... (My son will never remember me as the "fat" dad I was when he was born...)

I actually FEEL fit for the first time in my life.

Odd to say bc I used to be a personal trainer and was in decent shape - but alas...

anyhow - putting yourself out there is really effing hard.

If any of you dads are content creators on social - my hat is off to you.

I wish I would have had the balls to start creating content when I began taking responsibility for being fat and completely out of shape so I could have documented the journey...

After I left the fitness industry in 2015 - life happened.

I gained all the weight - plus a few more... Covid was nice enough to allow me a short reprieve of making up my own excuses to not go to the gym - but when my son was born 3 years ago, everything changed.

I saw a picture of us on a boat on vacation and the man in my clothes was unrecognizable... He was most certainly not the man I wanted raising my son as "the example"...

Long story short - I went from 240 to 160 and I actually feel fit and healthy for the first time in a long time.

I've even started a free community for other dads out there who are stuck in the same rut (I call it the "restart cycle" where we pretend we will start again on Monday - or on the 1st of next month and then 2-3 weeks later we are talking about the next restart...)

I know where you are - I know how feel - I've been in that hole and I built the staircase out.

If anyone feels like a free resource/community would help you get out of that rut - send me DM - I don't want cross any lines by sharing links.
