How did they construct this leaf with hole cut outs?

Hello! I consider myself to be an intermediate sewist, with years of experience sewing clothes from patterns for myself. I’ve never drafted a garment, though, and I cannot wrap my head around how the leaf on this Farm Rio dress was constructed, specifically the hole cut outs in the leaves. It looks like it was sewn right sides together and flipped out, but wouldn’t that be physically impossible with the holes? Or am I overthinking it?

Cameras got covered in honey

I have three film cameras (one SLR, a Canonet, and a Holga) that ended up getting honey on them. What is the likelihood that the honey seeped in and is on the film, and what methods would you use to clean the honey off? Anything else to consider I’m not thinking of?
