Ive been debating for a while whether or not to perform a song for my Fiance during the reception.

We dont have a live band but we have a DJ who says I can plug my electric guitar into his setup and play a backing track im producing.

My fiance has always wanted me to write a song since she said one of the things she liked about me was my being able to play instruments but Ive never been super particularly confident in it.

I have a song that im decently happy with halfway produced so no worries there. Just more on if it seems like a dumb idea? I was thinking of doing silent cake cutting into like thank you speech for coming then before opening it up to slow dance surprise her with the song while everyone's getting cake. Groomsmen would pull up a chair to me close to the stage on the dance floor for her and Id sing and play guitar to a backing track.

The day is coming up soon, in about 2 weeks but we have like majority of the wedding items done so I have a decent amount of time to practice and produce.

Its around 2 and a half mins but can probably cut it shorter.

Most people know Im fairly passionate about music.

Saw another post here asking a similar question and majority said its incredibly cringe so thats my biggest concern lol, but maybe if its a song I wrote it would make it less cringe? Were also ultra type B people so were like, not afraid of failure and stuff Idk lol.
