Kind of felt bad for this Stunning Upset highlight yesterday lmao

So dirty and somewhat undeserved honestly, but boy, this is riichi mahjong. And sanma at that as well.

Got Hinata today from one of the 3 scrolls they gifted us for the Akagi event

I wasn't expecting anyone since I rarely pull and haven't gotten a new character since October, I think? She's cute though, so I'll take her. The only two One Han city characters I've been interested in and can think of right now are Yui (like most people I've seen, I'd swear, can't blame them), and Riu, who thankfully was my first new character pull back in October and grew to like a lot and somewhat idolize, ngl.

Can't believe I played more than 1330 east rounds so far and haven't seen more than 2 Pure Double Sequences.

Must be the rarest normal yaku, I suppose, since it requires a closed hand compared to Fully Outside Hand and the (over-spammed imo lol) Half Flush. Or, it's just a very high-level yaku and mostly seen in Jade room or something.

[On a side note, I love how the achievement is called "It Was Meant to Be Seven Pairs" lmfao. Many such achievements have such funny names.]

[Edit: I meant Twice Pure Double Sequence.]

Recently learned of sotogawa so it's interesting creating a "sotogawa trap" myself

"Sotogawa tiles (lit. outside tiles) are tiles further away from 5 than an early discarded tile. When a number tile is discarded early, same suit tiles ±2 towards the outside become safer tiles due to sotogawa."

In my experience, I have to say it works 8/10 of times for me in Gold rooms.

Yesterday while watching after Summer Game Fest streams.

😌

[Sanma/3-player matches can be so ridiculous. For every obliter- sorry, I mean win like this, I lose(/get destroyed) two times; for every three loses, I win four times, etc. I just don't take it seriously anymore lmao.]

Interesting round today in which I had no yaku and so was ready for my mere tenpai share, then this happens.

Under the River/Houtei was literally my only yaku, which explains why I couldn't win the turn before when the same player discarded the same tile [making me enter furiten for a turn, of course].

(The dealt-in player was offline, just mentioning it.)

Moments that makes you think "Okay so the Mahjong gods hate me today, I get it."

"It's fine :)"

Yonma (East) match so long two other players left lmao

It was one of the funniest matches I've had as the leader had won so many times that when I started winning the other two guys started leaving. At this point in the image I thought "Ah yes, person in the lead, I too would be scared." [I ended up winning by exhaustive draw EZ]
