Single greatest destruction I’ve witnessed
This dude just Yakuman into a Baiman lol no words (TG not my ass lol)
I've never been so annoyed by someone else's discard before
I was doing so well, only for this person to make a truly awful discard and make me come second lol
I wasn’t regretful but tbh part of me wasn’t sure if spending $25 on a skin was fully satisfying. But that log on sequence cemented my confidence XDDD so kewl
Pon?
Kamicha Riichi, dora is 5m, toimen discards 1s, pon? Maka opinion included, I'm particularly looking for reasons not to pon because my monkey brain could never deny this.
The sanma situation is crazy
In short, I recently dropped from Expert rank to an Adept, easily get back to an Expert level and now with laughs continued to lose my games here AGAIN. The main thing I've noticed that was changed: people just getting their hands 5-6 times faster, and I am starting with ridiculous amount of unconnected tiles that needs to be discarded
Am I playing worse? Idn, can't really see me playing, dude just pressed Tsumo on the third tile he picked after Riichi, while I'm trying to figure out what Dragon/Wind I should get rid of, so exactly the same copy of it don't drop in my hand at the next turn
I think we all know how the next match goes
That "Four Symbols - On a Roll" eludes me...
Has the skill level of players on Majsoul increased on average over the years?
When Majsoul was a new platform, I played on it for about 2 and a half years, then took a several year long hiatus. I've recently come back, and it seems like gold room players of today are much closer to being the jade room players of yesteryear. I mean, it makes sense that majsoul becoming bigger and attracting more players would also mean attracting stronger players, and the average skill of the player base would go up, but what do yall think? I could just be rusty.
Why must we live, just to suffer?
13 Orphans...one day you will be mine...
Why was this a valid yaku?
I am very new to Mahjong so I apologize if it's something super obvious but I can't figure out why I was allowed to win with this hand.
EDIT: Tysm everyone I'm so dumb I thought riichi was called for bonus points rather than being valid on it's own. I don't know how I got that idea in my head.
Also the comments aren't loading properly so I can't reply individually but tysm as well to those of you who told me about Tsumo always being valid as long as your hand is closed, I didn't know about that either. I actually can't believe I've been coming 1st and 2nd in my first few games without knowing this stuff.
My first Twice Pure Double Sequence finally 🥹 Casually one of my most beautiful hands ever
Completed three achievements at once.
Why is 4p better than 7p for this Riichi?
In this situation, I am just trying to figure out whether 4p or 7p is the safest tile to discard and Riichi with; so I picked 7p. Confused why 4p is better.
Akagi Collab curious
Hi everyone,
I know this is a bit of an off-topic question rather than one strictly about mahjong, but I figured this would be the best place to ask.
I got interested in Akagi thanks to the MJS collaboration, and now I’d really like to dive into the manga and anime.
I live in Italy, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any way to read the manga or watch the anime (not even in English). The only thing I’ve found is an 8-episode live-action drama on Crunchyroll, but I assume that’s just scratching the surface.
Does anyone know where I can read the manga or watch the anime (English is perfectly fine)? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Why play mahjong soul over other available options?
Just curious, there’s no right or wrong of course. Why is it that you choose to play mahjong over other available options?
First time reaching Master! (sanma)
(the screenshot is in Korean)
I started playing long time ago but had stopped for a while and recently I have been regularly playing one or two games per day, and finally in Master!
336 south games; Avg rank 1.93
(Still at Expert 3 in 4P so I need to do some 4P too..)
1m is safe against West and 1p is probably safe against South. How would you choose in this scenario?
I made a mistake XD
Well, I hate gacha games you know and I want washizu. So, I thought "why not I spend some money and buy that Chains of the Reaper" and so do I, put some money and bought it.
It was an outfit T-T I DIDNT KNOW THAT GAME LET YOU BOUGHT THE OUTFIT BEFORE GET THE CHARACTER! Now I'm in tear XD.
