Any Riichi Mahjong groups (Japanese-style) in the area?
I know it's a long shot, but trying to find people with the same introverted interests is tough in this day and age, lol.
Edit: I play on MahjongSoul if anyone is interested in syncing up for a game.
Short-term relationship decided we weren't in alignment after I said that I wouldn't pay for all of her expenses
Things were going pretty great until she asked me a few financial related questions. Then once she saw dollar signs, it moved to this.
For context, she is a divorced woman with two kids in her late 30s. Things were going great and she was pretty good at being romantic (despite sometimes her having a bit of a bipolar-like attitude at times). But over the last two days she shifted pretty quickly to asking me things like what my job was, what my title was, how much I made. And then eventually I got hit with the questions in the attached images.
Welp - back to the dating apps again. Everyone at this age is some sort of broken and the goal is to find whoever is salvageable.
Should I run?
Context - I've (38m) gone on two dates with a woman (36f) and things had gone really well. Today I get a laundry list of items of how I'm "not being attentive enough" (list below).
Is this the rantings of a lunatic?
Her text:
OK, I'm a little busy right now so I can't get too invested in this convo , but I'll answer this real quick.
You stated at dinner and a few other times that you "really listen and pay attention" and now that "really listening to your partner" is a facet of romance, on your end. Yet, this morning, I reminded you of how I take my coffee, which I'd already told you days/a week maybe prior. Nothing major, but I noticed.
In my profile, I declared that phone calling was my communication style. Again, nothing major, but I noticed.
So these two things lead me to think a. are you just giving me cookie-cutter answers that sound good? B. Are you genuinely attentive and will you retain information given to you about a potential partner/or me specifically? C. Did you notice that my preferred method of communication was calling and ignored it or disregarded that in favor of your own preference and will that be a common theme with you? D. Or is it simply that you are just not that interested or invested? E. maybe you think you're a good listener and that you remember things well but you actually don't and just don't know it like you didn't know your own height?
And I say all that to say this, I really pay attention and I really listen, I peep everything. too many minor inconsistencies and things that make me start questioning too much won't lead to anything good
And yes, I understand we've been on two dates and I also understand there's a learning curve. You learn about your partner overtime that's natural however when you make certain statements that I don't feel are quite true, it doesn't lend me much confidence in what you're saying.
(38m) Just finished going on a date with this girl (36f) and after I forked out $100+ on dinner and activities, she informs me that I lied on my online profile and that I'm not tall enough.
I said I was 5'9" and she said she was 5'7" and we were roughly the same height when we stood besides each other. I informed her that she is likely taller than 5'7", and proceeded to show her my drivers license which shows me at 5'9".
Why do women have this unhealthy obsession with height. And why are they so resistant in thinking that maybe they are the ones that are mistaken.
3 riichis, dealt in twice while riichi'ed, then East gets fed free points. Lulz
