Is there a way to know what banners are coming up in advance? Or at least when a new one will come out

I want to start playing some GGXX and I do not really care about meta but a character with visually pleasing or just saucy combos would be awesome. Recommendations and reasons for the recommendation are greatly appreciated :)

I have played a fair bit of strive and i would like to know what changes i should expect in comparison. Also if you have any character recommendations for a Venom, Unika player i would appreciate it as well :)

Should i just ask in the discord for other new players to play with or is online play still a thing after all these years?

so I haven't really played guilty gear a lot before. But I have never seen a better fitting character for me in any fg.

my biggest question is after the huge nerfs I just read about what is the best way to study because I used to watch guides for starting out with new characters, but I don't know if the videos from 2 years ago are totally outdated or mostly the same except for the starting 50% jealousy meter.
