I'm new and at the same time I'm not

As kt says on the title I'm new and at the same time I'm not, I've played quite a bit in the past with a friend of mine but that was around 5 years or something like that and after the Evo i saw that central fiction was on sale so i bought it and remembered something I wasn't aware of since I've been playing other fighting games like GG Strive, Tekken 8, 2XKO and street fighter, I'm not used to Blazblue kind of commands, in particular Bullet's commands, since she's one of my favourites i wanted to see her commands and i literally was like trying to mash to get nothing, how can i get used to it after being used to other kind of commands? Also how do i make the full circles without shitting myself in the process?

When your best friend says there are no other games to play and then you show him what fighting games are

Looking for games like BB

I feel like there is a lot of ragging on games with stories like BB or GG or talk about fighting games stories in general being incomprehensible, but I think the way games like BB handle their stories are really interesting. I unfortunately have no affinity with fighting games at all so I have exclusively experienced their stories through yt vids. I do plan to pick up central fiction next time its on sale and give fighting games another try, but while I'm waiting I was hoping for some suggestions of games that have really large and complex stories and a lot of characters that aren't fighting games. I would appreciate any recommendations and I apologize if I am using the flair incorrectly. Thank you for your time.

Do I have to 100% all of these to understand the story?

These in my opinion, are the most annoying things.

continuum shift platinum battle quotes

this is a really stupid post i feel but i played continuum shift ii on 3ds when it first came out and that was my introduction to bb. i was a kid and gravitated towards platinum bc of their cute design and they've since remained my main. ive always wondered though how come the english dub battle quotes for cs are different from the names of their actual special moves. for example, instead of "mami circular", luna and sena call out "celestial impact". this was changed in cp where the battle quotes matched the special names but this has been bugging me for over a decade and nobody's talked abt it lol so i was hoping someone with insider knowledge would clarify for me ☺️

Is BlazBlue Centralfiction worth picking up on sale in 2026?

Hey everyone, I’m considering buying BlazBlue: Centralfiction since it’s currently on sale, but I’d love to get your opinion on whether it’s still worth it.

I’m not new to fighting games I’ve played Tekken and Street Fighter, and I’m currently playing Granblue Fantasy: Versus. Since I already enjoy the genre, I’m curious about a few things before buying:

-Player Base: Is the online community still active, or will I mostly be looking for matches via Discord?

-Learning Curve: How difficult is it to transition from games like Street Fighter or Granblue to BlazBlue's faster, anime fighter mechanics?

-Netcode: Does the PC/console version have good rollback netcode?

Would you recommend catching it on sale right now? Thanks in advance for the advice

Which characters rely on microdashes or dash cancels in their BnBs?

Hi, I'm looking for another character to main, but I'd like to avoid anyone whose BnBs or commonly used combos rely on microdashes or dash cancels, I used to play Hibiki and Tsubaki.

Could anyone tell me which characters regularly use these in their standard combo routes?

Thanks in advance

Which 4 characters should be Trinity's core opponent in her arcade mode?

Aside from Susanoo iirc

All arcade for every character has 4 opponents that are set with dialogue before and after the match

Which would be the fitting ones for Trinity ?

Id say options are:

Hazama/Terumi ( final one)

Nine

Relius

Platinum

Celica

What are yours ?

You have one sentence to explain BB Story

It can be anything from actual story like:
"Humanity discovered god"
to funny stuff like
"Everybody is Ragnas sister"
feel free to make it longer lol

Jin Kisaragi meets another one of his step-sisters

Both Vergil-archetypes? Hell Yes.
Both share a battle quote? Oh absolutely - "Dissipate!"
Both have tragic histories with an older sibling (Ragna and Gyokuro)? Oh, you bet!
Both use Ice? Yes.
Both use Iaido? Yes.
Both have counter-attack mechanics? Yes.
Both use katanas made of ice? Yes.
Both can conjure bow and arrow made of ice? Yes.
Both use freezing mechanics? Yes.
Both can teleport and flash step? Yes.
Both have "Enhanced" states in gameplay where they become more powerful and their freezing mechanics get amped up? Oh, yes!
Both can build gauges that allow them to perform "enhanced" attacks? Definite YES!

Jin Kisaragi is from BlazBlue, and he came before any of the "Vergil's Daughter" memes so that means, in terms of meme, he is classified as Vergil's eldest step-son since DMC came in 2001, WAY before BlazBlue - the exact timeframe Vergil impregnated an unknown human woman and left her.

Big brother Jin, lol!

Vergil (Smiling proudly): "My eldest boy! You have NO IDEA how to be MOTIVATED! Now breed me some kids. I want grandkids this time! But, I want them to also have ice powers like you because you're my favorite. See the absolute genius of my impregnating skills? They all have YOUR elemental power!"
Jin (Crying): "You're SICK, dad! I'm telling uncle Dante on you!"

Enjoy the sibling feud!
