How to not sound so demo-ish

Yo. I made a post a few weeks back about feeling burnt out and not knowing the direction I should take to keep pushing through slumps and I felt it would be a smart idea to turn to the subreddit for some help.

Most of my music is self produced, mixed, and mastered and because of that when I hit a roadblock in one of those areas, it's pretty hard to know how to get through it.

My main question is: how do I help make my songs sound like songs? I have a few examples I link in this post but I always feel like my songs don't sound like songs. Maybe it's cause of the mixing or mastering but like if I check someone else who uses similar beats, they don't sound so demo-ish as mine do.

I know that not every song is meant to sound the same but whether I'm making something more lyrical or something more melodic, it feels way too amateurish imo.

Any advice will be super appreciated.

Hey, I haven't had a chance to post anything in this sub for a while now but I had a question: what is the best way to stay motivated when you are constantly trying your best with music but it feels like nothing is giving?

It gets pretty tough when you spend so much time recording, producing, mixing, and releasing and you feel like your making leaps and bounds in progress but when others check the music, they aren't as enthused as you'd like them to be. It sometimes even happens when you peep like videos or reactions to other artists and people are having a great time listening to them and whatnot. It just has been super tough.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
