There is no benefit in me discarding 9p here because I will be in Furiten and it's less safe than 3p because 3p was safe in the last turn. I can see that 9p only has one chance of dealing into 78p, but I don't think it's safer than 3p.
I am still 1-shanten with 12m. I don't think I can win hence I just dropped the Green instead of Kanning.
This happens way too often. Not sure if I misplayed my early-mid game that led to force deal-ins or just pure bad luck.
In this situation, I am just trying to figure out whether 4p or 7p is the safest tile to discard and Riichi with; so I picked 7p. Confused why 4p is better.
Is this worth it? Toimen looks like they might have Daisangen or some weird stuff going on. I would most likely still be first place if I get hit with Mangan, but I would lose 10 points in the final rank point calculation (163 -> 153)
These were all my deal ins. I might've ran out of luck after hitting my double Yakuman or just straight up played like garbage.
First yakuman after 784 games, don't know if I am lucky or unlucky
All my dealt-ins felt impossible to avoid and Maka approved my discards as well. My internet also disconnected for 10-15 seconds and I had to login again. Wtf...
I have 10 tiles total when I count all the pinzu and the word tiles, and usually this means it's a good opportunity to play towards half flush. What is mortal seeing here that I am missing?
Not sure if musuji 9p, half suji 4s, or just 3m to avoid dealing into toimen is better here. But didn't want to throw 4s here because toimen seems to be waiting on souzu and he has the lowest score.
I didn't want to push 6p because toimen be waiting on 78p, 57p, etc. 4s can deal into North but North didn't react to toimen's 4s discard earlier, so I thought it should be good.
I have two Penchans and still haven't form a single meld yet on the 9th turn, wtf. Is this hand still worth pushing?
1x south is already Genbutsu. Intuitively, I thought it would be correct to win this round with Sanshoku by dama or open because it's the most efficient route as there are plenty of 3p, 2s, and 3s left. I don't think I need to keep South as a safety tile this early because 1p should be safe enough to avoid ippatsu.
have 3 doras but shape looks bad. is this a chase or fold?
I thought skipping here would be the most accurate decision because I haven't pon'ed white or green yet. If I was the dealer I would've pon'ed though. Riichi book 1 mentioned a (sort of) similar hand and recommended not opening the hand with suited tiles before value tiles.
1m is safe against West and 1p is probably safe against South. How would you choose in this scenario?
Since I only have 4 blocks, I wanted to keep 5 and 8 for wider tile acceptance possibilities. I rather have an extra ryanmen than an extra pair of White and Green for efficiency since I am dealer. Is this line of thinking incorrect?
