Does anybody in this thread work in IT or whatever area controls the ordering program for stores?

I'd genuinely like to understand how it works. If I have 15 cases of a product and the on hands are correct and the products app tells me we have 38 weeks of product on hand... why does a truck come with 6 more cases of it? This happens dozens of times with each truck and top stock in some areas of beyond out of control, but this stuff keeps coming. I'd love to know if there's an actual reason.

As an overnight DS and someone who ran inventory control at my last job, this is driving me insane.
