Hostile Environment😑

Bro, I just got done playing a Grounded playthrough, and I can confirm that Abby has more encounters, but with her gear, it’s kind of a cakewalk compared to Ellie’s hectic revenge quest. Ellie’s encounters are way bigger in numbers, and she gets way more dawgs. I couldn’t even set traps for them because I never had any — you always have to shoot somebody and hope you stay undetected.
When moving to another vantage point, if you don’t stay undetected, you’ve got at least three guys rushing you from different angles. You probably missed a couple shots but still survived, even though you’re almost dead with no bandages or bullets left. Meanwhile, with Abby, I found that if you play the game half stealthy and half aggressive — even without much strategy — it’s still a cakewalk.

The Favorite Child 😕

Zuko’s situation

I always believed Zuko only had one child because he understood firsthand how destructive royal succession struggles could become. Growing up alongside Azula, constantly fighting for approval under Ozai’s rule, probably made him want a more stable family structure. Having only Izumi avoids the possibility of siblings competing over the Fire Lord title the way he and Azula did.

Aang’s situation

Aang was in a completely different situation. He wasn’t worried about politics or succession; he was trying to preserve an entire extinct culture. The Air Nomads were gone, and as the last airbender, Aang likely felt enormous pressure to ensure their traditions, spirituality, and bending survived after him. Even if his first child had been an airbender, I still think he would’ve wanted multiple children because rebuilding a culture can’t fall onto one person alone.

Tenzin’s situation

That said, Tenzin clearly became Aang’s main priority once his airbending manifested. Not because Aang loved Bumi or Kya less, but because Tenzin was the only one capable of inheriting Air Nomad teachings at the time. Unfortunately, from Bumi and Kya’s perspective, it still felt like favoritism. That’s what makes the situation realistic: Aang had understandable reasons, but good intentions can still hurt people emotionally.
