TIL that most humans don't just have a dominant hand but also a dominant left or right eye. Those two things aren't necessarily on the same side of your body, meaning you can be right handed and left eye dominant or the other way around.

TIL the Bosporus and the city of Oxford are both named something like "shallow crossing point in a river that allows cattle to cross the water". In Oxford's case the name is Anglo-Saxon in origin, while Bosporus comes from Ancient Greek boûs (cattle) + poros (passage).
