Lens(es) to add to OM1ii
Hi there! I'm looking for a lens or two to add to my collection. I'm a hobbyist coming from a Nikon dslr just starting out with a OM 1ii, a 12-40 pro, and 60mm macro lens. I recently went on a trip to Alaska and rented the OM 100-400ii lens to capture wildlife. The 100-400ii is a good lens under good lighting but I did not get good results at 300-400mm under cloud cover. I've researched a bunch and I'm more confused than ever on how to upgrade my collection with reach. I'm an all around photographer as in I like to shoot a little bit of everything, especially on trips, including all wildlife, not bird specific. The new OM 50-200 pro sounds ideal, but the price is not. However, I'm willing to save up for what I want. I've considered the OM 40-150 2.8 pro with TCs but not sure that's enough reach and I've seen very mixed reviews of use with the TC2. I'm not sure I would like the lack of zoom flexibility with the 300pro, however, I'm open to the suggestion. The 150-400 is far beyond my means. Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
