Kinda scared/confused about commerce careers because of AI 😭 Need advice
Hey, I’m a commerce student currently in 12th and I’m honestly really confused about what to do in the future.
Lately I’ve been hearing a lot that AI is gonna take over many jobs, especially in finance/accounting and stuff. One of my family members even told me that in his company they might remove some people because AI can do some of their work now. Ever since hearing that, I’ve been lowkey stressed 😭
The thing is, I don’t really know much about courses/careers yet. I know names like CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA, etc. but that’s pretty much it. I don’t actually know what’s good, what has a future, or what might get affected badly by AI.
Someone told me to do an “AI integrated course” but I genuinely have no idea what that even means 😭 Like is there such a thing as commerce/finance with AI? Or do they mean learning AI alongside a commerce course?
I’m scared of choosing something, studying for years, and then later finding out there are barely jobs because AI replaced a lot of it.
If anyone here works in commerce/finance or knows about this stuff, can you guide me a bit? Like what paths are still worth it and what should someone like me even focus on?
Sorry if this sounds dumb, I genuinely don’t know much about this stuff yet.
