Essays/LORs/Interviews: (briefly reflect/rate)

Personal statement I thought was solid but not anything special, I probably should've spent more time reflecting in it

Purdue Essays were strong because I could show interest in fye

other essays were lowk kinda generic so yeah

LOR:

Physics teacher for 2 years: 8/10. He helped me change a lot in the class for the better and I also did really well.

Calc BC teacher: 6/10. Didn't really have anything special to say about me but was generally positive and appreciative of me.

  • Rejections: (list here)
    • GT EA

Additional Information:

  • Cost was really an important factor in choosing, I would've had to pay a good amount of Purdue myself. I also really limited the number of schools I applied to based on how expensive they were likely to be. If I had gotten merit-based aid from Purdue I probably would've gone there.
  • I also didn't really think about college/what I wanted to major in until junior year, and I had some social anxiety/lack of knowledge about them earlier that prevented me from joining some of the larger clubs/teams which was clearly the weakness in my application
