Iz ai, Brave ob da Oranj with sisfur Berkley honorary ob da Oranj. We needs soo. Not kno hoo to soo, jus need soo. Haz bin bery tra.. tru... scawy day. Firs, da smok larm go beeeeeep beeeeeeep beeeeeep while dark. Meowmy says no can fin wich ob da 6 it wuz. Until dis morn, den Meowmy can hears wich but no kno hows ta fix. So Meowmy jus take outz da battries and noiz stop.

(Meowmy here- the smoke alarm got corroded from a leaky battery, house is still safe, there's redundant smoke alarms on each floor, one standard and one tied to the security system. No lack of alarm fears!)

Wez wrong. Acuz den da scurity lite box make bery lowd noizes acuz it no can find da smok larm! An now it rain bery hard an wez has to jus hide cuz so scawy.

Brave ob da Oranj's log: da ebil pokey place

Today, Meowmy committed a big betrayal! She came home, gave foods, and then... then (illegal smols don't read!) she made me go in the carrier and go to the pokey place! They poked me, they prodded me, and they really looked at the ouchies I was hiding from Meowmy, and then they stuck a needle in my most fabulous rump!

Then Meowmy lets me (very willingly now) get back in the carrier and takes me home. But now my ouchie that I was hiding is really ouchie, and Meowmy saw how hard the stairs were for me, and it was much worse than this morning when I was pretty normal.

So then, she does something even worse: she calls the pokey place and asks about my ouchie! Is it just because of the pokies and the prodding and the car ride and the needle in my fabulous rump? The pokey place didn't make her bring me back in, but they did get (illegal smols again, don't read) me a pill for Meowmy to give me. And Meowmy got very sneaky by crumbling up a treat all around the pill, and I was so happy to get treats I just ate the pill right out of her hand! Extra tricky!

Meowmy here: Brave has been quite normal with walking and stairs, so hearing that both his knees, more on the right than the left, were pretty arthritic was a bit of a surprise. Okay, no biggie, they recommend a joint supplement and to keep an eye on it. Then we got home, and the poor dear is definitely limping around and favoring that right leg, and I got concerned because hey, this is a change from just a few hours ago. Keeping a close eye on him, gave him his pain pill, and hopefully he just needs to recover from being in the carrier/car, getting a shot on the more arthritic side, and having his ouchie knees examined. Berkley's turn tomorrow, so will definitely be able to follow up on how he's doing. And I have zero complaints about the multiple drives to/from the vet today almost back to back because I just want my baby feeling better. Why do they have to be so good at hiding pain?
