Honestly: what was the point in the house points system? Like teachers could take points for every reason they wanted (case and point: Snape) so there were no specific rules... And the "reward" is a joke

The winning House's Head gets to have a cup in their office for the next year? Really that's all? Can the graduating class that won the House Cup list it on their resume? Do the students of the House that won last year get something better than the rest of the students? Hell is there ANY type of REAL reward?

Because honestly: it sounds more like the Hogwarts facility shamelessly brainwashing teens and pre teens into peer pressuring into behaving according to a bogus set of rules

I am not looking for any specific fic, just fics where Harry ended up being like Tom - perfect on the outside, hungry for magical knowledge and power with a distinct hate for muggles for seeing the worst side of muggles growing up

Additional requests:

- F/M pairing or no pairing at all

- no bashing that doesn't make sense. Like if he hates Dumbledore is because Dumbledore is the reason he grew up like an abused house elf under the Dursleys...

- no joining Voldemort: Voldemort is 100% an ego driven psychopath - even if Harry will join him he will be stabbing him in the back at the first opportunity be it due to fearing Harry will eventually replace him (as Harry is literally him personality wise under another name and appearance), or because his ego could never get over the idea that a BABE is the reason he lost in the first place

Hot take: in all those "the Dursleys were extra abusive and bluh bluh bluh" fics, that usually end up with dark Harry, instead of ruining their lives by showing proof of abuse to the muggle authorities...

An older Harry (like sixth year and higher, maybe even fifth year) should one day throw a good ol Curcio at them.

It's not like making them exprince Crucio will not be unlike all the shit they did to Harry in canon, and especially in most hyper abused Dark Harry fanfics.
