Hello, I have been interested in HAM radio for about a license or so, but I still don't know anything. I know that to transmit I need a license. I can't get a license due to some issues, one of them being they only do exam in Tuesday and I am working at Tuesday so I cannot go. So I just spend the time learning about radio and recieving morse code.

I have been wondering what I could do without a license. I know I can only recieve without a license. I have been thinking about getting one of those RTL SDR dongle so I can recieve stuff. Is that a good idea? Or should I buy a handheld (like a Baofeng UV-5R) and disable the transmitting function? I would be thankful if anyone can recommend me anything.

I am sorry for my lack of knowledge in this topic. Also for the bad English (it's not my first language).

I have been wanting to get an instrument for a long time and I finally have the budget. I am thinking about either getting a digital piano or a lyre. I hope by asking in this subreddit, I will get some help from you all that will eventually be able to make me decide. Thank you ^ ^
