Upgrading from 3.7 to 3.0T. Thoughts?

I’m upgrading from my 2015 Q50 that has roughly 100,000km but has come up with a bunch of issues such as bad rack and pinion, worn out control arms which is gonna cost a pretty penny to fix. Depending on how it goes, dealer offered me $13,000 CAD for trade in and I buy a 2021 Q50 Sport Tech that only has 9000 kilometres on it for $31,500. I also managed to asked them to CPO the car as it’s an Infiniti dealer and I’ll get unlimited KM warranty till January 2028. Also 2 years worth of free oil changes and free tire rotations. I feel like I managed to cop out a pretty good deal for this and the safety features alongside the general features are so much more compared to my 2015.

I know the turbo issues exist but I don’t plan on modding the car at all and will keep it stock at least until the warranty is there. Car has no accidents, one owner who was elderly.

Rack and Pinion, and control arms for 2015 Q50

I had a stiff steering wheel and steering shake at high speeds and a detailed inspection found out that the rack and pinion is leaking, and the confirmed that control arms have a lot of play in them and they recommended me to replace both.

The cost of OEM rack and pinion is $1750 CAD for me. I saw plenty on rockauto for $300-$500 CAD. Same with control arms, OEM ones are $600 CAD per side but I saw some brand new ones on Rock Auto for significantly less. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thinking of upgrading from the VQ37 to the VR30, thoughts?

I’ve had my 2015 VQ37 for a solid 3 years now. Bought it at 78,000 kms and not almost at a 100,000 kms. It’s been mostly trouble free in my 3 year ownership, biggest issues I had was the AWD sensor failure but it was a an easy DIY fix for me. Anyways, I kind of wanting something with a little more low end torque as the 3.7 feels a little sluggish at slow speeds and I have to really rev it out to get anything from it.

I kind of want a turbo car and the 3.0T has crazy mod potential but I’m probably gonna keep it stock if I ever do upgrade. Also the 2015 is getting up there with age and even if the engine is solid, other car parts are getting old now. I’m looking at 2020+ VR30s and there’s some good low mileage ones in my area for about $15k CAD more than what I could sell my 3.7 for. Did anyone do this upgrade or am I crazy for spending more money for the same car again?
