Lulworth Cove 50k - concerned about route conditions?

I want to try and hike the Lulworth Cove 50k Ultra this weekend. The challenge I set for myself is to finish it within the official race cutoff time of 12 hours.

I am nor familiar with the area, other than visiting Durdle Door a while ago. I’m also not familiar with the route, other than seeing it on Strava. As this is going to be an official race at the beginning of September I am expecting the trail to be properly maintained, but I read on an older thread that one of the previous races was very muddy, which I’d like to avoid. Obviously the conditions this year have been very dry but this week it looks like we’re having rain here and there, so worth asking.

Has anyone been to the area recently, or know it well and can confirm whether parts of the route get really bad? I won’t link anything but the route name on Strava is Lulworth Cove 50k | RunThrough Trails v26.01

Thanks.

No more vibrations during water eject

Today I discovered water lock and water eject. After splashing in the pool for a few hours and a few water ejects, the watch doesn’t vibrate anymore. I left it a few hours and tried it again, restarted the watch, nothing. Did I break it?

Beginner - RunThrough Trails Engelberg

Hey everyone. Over the summer, I’ve discovered the pleasure of hiking long distances and I was thinking I could try to hike an ultra (the one in the title). I never went past 40k hiking, but I’ve done 3 consecutive 37k weekends in about 8 hours and I had plenty left in the tank both in terms of speed and energy.

I haven’t run in about a year and I’m not in amazing shape but so far this summer the hikes were ok on my body. An ultra is a different thing though.

I’ve never done a proper race in my life, so I want to make sure if I register with the intention of walking it , it won’t be awkward for people at support stations having to wait for me. It’s likely I’ll finish before the cutoff but barely.

Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Also, I’m based in the UK so I’d travel for this one

ABC warpstreme sizing

I own 2 pairs of ABCs, the flannels and a warpstreme slim. I managed to find a discounted pair of ABC 5 pocket warpstreme online and they’re way too tight, despite being the same waist size as the other two pairs. Am I missing something sizing wise? I’m a w34 and I think 36 is too lose.

Help with route

I was planning to do this route tomorrow, but it seems a part of it is closed. Does anyone have experience with the area and can suggest an alternative for that section? Also, can the bridge be crossed? Thank you!

Fourteen sisters (Seven Sisters round trip)

Hey everyone, I’m planning a day to properly stretch my legs and I stumbled upon the seven sisters hike, about 13 miles in 4-5 hours. I know you can take a bus back but I was thinking about hiking back as well, thus doing a matahon distance. Has anyone done this and can share the experience/give advice? When’s the best time to start, etc. Is the route too ambitious for one day? I’d also appreciate gear related advice, I’m planning on wearing trail runners and a running vest. Thanks.

I had a time to walk workout in progress and after 10 minutes my Apple Watch vibrated to ask me if I am doing a walking workout and if I wanted to record. I pressed record and it stopped my time to walk and started a walking workout. I was under the impression that ttw and indoor/outdoor walks count as workouts and considering one was active I shouldn’t have been prompted to start another workout.
