Unreal Engine Tools?

What is the best setup for claude to be able to automate as much as possible? default claude with the UE mcp seems to be unable to do a lot of the PIE testing and I am not sure if tools exist to automate more of this. Like it cant do blueprints at all either. Can anyone recommend the best current (free) tools? I did find one called vibeUE and im not sure about it. Anyone have experience with it?

Solo game dev - what steps should I take NOW before continuing to work on my game?

I have almost everything working in greybox right now. I am working on my first vertical slice and getting some art assets together etc.

What should I do now, early on, before continuing to work on the game? When should I start marketing, putting up a webpage/devblog, steam page, etc? Just looking for some insight from others that have been through this before. Any and all input is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Question for indie devs: Where did you find your pixel artist?

I've been working on a game project for quite a while now. I'm an IT Systems Engineer, so I approached it the same way I would any other technical project—I built the foundation first.

At this point, the engine is almost finished. Most of the underlying systems are in place, and I've completed the bulk of the design documentation, including the story, art direction, mechanics, and overall vision. The technical side is definitely my strong suit.

Right now everything is still greyboxed, but it's fully playable. I'm at the point where I want to start replacing the placeholder environments with actual levels and polished visuals.

The problem is... I'm terrible at pixel art.

Where do indie developers usually find good pixel artists? Is Fiverr a reasonable option, or should I be looking somewhere like ArtStation, Reddit, Discord, etc.?

Also, what kind of budget should I realistically expect for professional-quality pixel art? I'm not looking for AAA assets, but I do want something polished enough for a commercial indie game. The project is a 2D gothic Metroidvania, so I'd be looking for things like environment tilesets, characters, enemies, animations, UI, and so on.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's hired a pixel artist before—what worked, what didn't, and what you'd do differently.

PSA to anyone getting a colonoscopy

Whoever TF wrote the instructions for prep did NOT pass basic English comprehension.

The instructions say to mix an entire bottle of miralax with 2 bottles of gatorade (64 ounces).

This can be interpreted 2 ways:

Two 64 ounce bottles of gatorade

OR

2 bottles of gatorade totaling 64 ounces.

These are vastly different amounts of gatorade. My brain took it the first way and it wasnt until after I had downed the first half and feel nauseous AF that I did the research and found out that standard prep is 64 total ounces of gatorade with that much miralax.

So first problem, kroger doesnt sell 32 ounce bottles of gatorade. At most I found there was a 28 ounce bottle.

2nd problem, is that all of this could have been avoided had they worded the prep letter properly.

Mix 1 bottle of miralax with 64 ounces total Gatorade.

Even if they left their original wording in they could have cleared it up in the part that says "starting at 4pm the day before, drink your first 32 ounces of gatorade.... yada yada".

Anyways thats my rant. Its over. I will never drink gatorade in my life ever again.

20d ago had this issue - here we go again - plus on hold with support for 1hr 18m so far

Been in smart guard all day. Its 1:30am and the pump history shows last bolus the pump gave me was 3:56pm. NOTHING since then. You can see on my picture, i checked my sugar at 11:23 and it was 303. Sugar is now around 288 at 1:30am. I exited smart guard, re-entered, it prompted me to enter by sugar. The pump is still not giving ANY bolus to try to bring me down. No insulin on board. So, I called support and here we go again with 1hr+ wait times. I thought they were supposed to be working on this?

Never had these problems prior to the last update. But this is the 3rd or 4th time I have had it do this exact same problem.

Update: What appeared to have fixed it was the exiting/entering smartguard and inputting my blood sugar again. About 15 minutes after I did that and posted this, it finally started giving me bolus again.

Where do I go for support? My characters are gone. deleted.

I had a level 20 and a level 5 (might have been 6) and I created a new character. I logged off and deleted that new character and POOF. My level 20 and other character are all gone. I am not an idiot. I did not go through the character deletion process 3 times in a row and not realize it. To reiterate: I deleted 1 newly created character and all 3 are gone.

I submitted bug report. I emailed the bug-report email I saw on discord but that actually says they do not reply to those and the in-game bug report doesnt really leave a trail.

EDIT: I also emailed support@shirogames.com but who knows if/when I will hear back.

Smartguard active but no insulin on board despite high sugar (instinct sensor)

I see the shield, i look at the checklist and everything is ok, however despite my sugar being high it never gives me any correction? This has happened before and both times my sugar shot up to almost 500 before I realized it was not working. I am using instinct sensor as well.

Anyone else having this issue?
