Little brother coming to Denver/Aurora for the summer — any temp job ideas or things he should avoid?
My little brother is thinking about spending the summer out here in the Denver/Aurora area with me before he starts his senior year. He is from a tiny town in the Texas Panhandle, so this would be his first time working in a big city, and I’m trying to help him land somewhere decent instead of getting stuck in some sketchy “summer job” situation.
Quick rundown on him:
- 17, starting senior year in the fall
- Only needs summer/temporary work (June–August)
- Just graduated with his associate’s degree early (I’m very proud of him)
- Has his FAA Part 107 drone license and Texas driver's license
- CPR certified
- Knows his way around CAD and 3D printing from robotics
- He’ll be staying with me in Aurora/Centennial so housing or car is not an issue.
Any ideas as to what places might hire teens where he can utilize his skills?
He’s a good kid. He's smart, responsible, and just trying to make the most of his summer. I just want to make sure he doesn’t get taken advantage of or end up somewhere weird.
Any tips or warnings are super appreciated.
