Joined the gang 👀

Joined the gang 👀

Y’all! Why didn’t I join the club sooner?! We were gifted/got these cloth diapers second hand in preparation of our twins, and 10 months later I finally am breaking these bad boys out to use. My aunt was sending us a monthly huge box of diapers, but now that she stopped that we are cracking these open. We still use disposables at night since my boys pee like horses overnight, and while we are out since ✨twins✨but it’s been MAGICAL not having a mountain of diapers in our trash. (Yes this is 50+ diapers and it’s good for 3 days so far)

Side note: my boys are in the 20 pound range and we’ve had a few leaks since starting on Saturday. Majority of the diapers are pocket diapers. Mostly microfiber inserts I believe. Are they just peeing so fast the diaper doesnt have a chance to catch everything? Fit seems good, elastic is tight, etc… Would an extra insert help? Any advice welcome :)

Sleep regression may take us out.

Hey yall.

One of my 9 month old (7 corrected) is going through a hellish sleep regression. NORMALLY, they are fantastic sleepers—7:40/8:30 PM to 7 AM with ZERO wakeups. No feeds for either boy. We truly won the lottery LOL. But one of them has hit the worst sleep regression lately. He’s had a busy month between open-heart surgery in July and cutting two new teeth right after coming home.

For the last two weeks, we’ve been dealing with 1–3 wakeups between midnight and 5 AM, and there is NO chance of putting him back down without him screaming bloody murder. He seems completely asleep until we try to sneak out, then suddenly he’s wide awake and furious. 😂

They have a nightlight that projects stars on the ceiling, which they both love. And the ONLY thing that consistently calms him is putting his brother in the same crib. Suddenly he’s happy as a clam and ready to party with his bestie. 😂

Obviously, it’s not ideal for sleep, but I’m desperate. The alternative is calming him down and putting him safely on our giant pull-out couch so we can co-sleep, which makes me anxious even with precautions.

SEND HELP. Or caffeine. 😂

Post OHS advice?

Hi everyone!

We officially have the date for OHS #2 for our boy next month. He’ll be a wiggly almost 8 month old by the time surgery happens. We’ve already been through one OHS when he was 6 weeks old to close his PDA and get his pulmonary band placed. This one is for his VSD (that we were expecting. The first one was a ✨surprise✨) Any advice on what we should expect afterwords? Tummy time advice? (He’s been struggling and is in OT with his twin brother) Anything to help healing? Best places to buy side snap sleepers/button rompers? He had his first surgery in December so he lived in sleepers post surgery haha. Once he is in the step down unit I am planning on sleeping over a few days possibly. He’s got his brother at home that also needs mama too 🥹❤️
