Denon x3900h and dual hdmi and a Panasonic 820

I did some research and it seems like having the dual hdmi out. One for audio and one for video is for older receivers that you might need to by pass using the video to go straight to the tv. Do I have this right? Is there anyone that has a newer receiver and does the dual hdmi? Any benefit?

Question about banana plugs

How important is it to have the wire go all the way around the inside of the plug? Each video I see shows the person crimping the wire down in a circle. I ask this because I am using banana plugs for the first time and the speaker wire I am using I twisted in order to the regular post method. So it’s difficult to get the wire to crimp down around in a circle.
