Just snagged my first couple images from the ISS using a homemade tape measure Yagi antenna and a UV5R Mini. Decoded using Robot36 app on Android. First one was still low and coming up from behind my home. Then at the height I visually saw the station and followed the best I could holding the antenna, the radio (while shifting frequency) and the phone. Happy with this attempt.

I used a Bulletpoint Rubigrid mount with the 10cm arm in my Subaru Forester. They have an adapter specific for Yaesu radios that threads in the mounting hole on the back. Left is a mag mount for my phone. Pleased with the mount and the radio (FTM-510DRASP). I removed the rubber pad in this spot on my car and screwed the base into the plastic. If I ever remove it, I can put the rubber pad back and the holes will be covered.
