Sky Gigafast order fails at final checkout after install date selection

Has anyone had Sky Gigafast orders fail right at the final checkout stage?

Trying to switch from Virgin Media to Sky Gigafast broadband + TV. The order goes all the way through:

- package selection

- credit check

- install date selection

…but when clicking “Place Order” it fails with:

“Sorry, we couldn’t complete your order due to a technical issue.”

Interesting part is:

- Virgin already emailed me saying Sky initiated a One Touch Switch request

- my address has Virgin, Openreach FTTP AND CityFibre available

- Sky Gigafast at my address shows near-symmetrical upload/download speeds, so I suspect it’s provisioning over CityFibre

Wondering if Sky’s systems are getting confused between Openreach/CityFibre or if anyone else has had this happen and found a workaround?

Tried:

- different browsers

- incognito

- live chat (broken) - says "our live chat agent isnt working currently"

- phone system just loops asking for an existing Sky account number, cant seem to find a new customer number to call

Any advice appreciated!
