ASUS TUF Dash F15 CPU hitting 95°C while GPU stays at 73°C max – Already repasted and cleaned, need advice!

Hi everyone,

I'm facing a frustrating overheating issue with my laptop and could really use some expert insight. My CPU is constantly hitting 95°C under load, while my GPU stays perfectly cool at a maximum of 73°C.

Laptop Specs:

Model: ASUS TUF Dash F15

Thermal Maintenance Done: Cleaned dust, applied fresh high-quality thermal paste, and replaced stock thermal putty on VRMs/VRAM with Thermal Grizzly.

Despite doing a full maintenance checklist, the CPU temperatures haven't dropped at all, while the GPU remains completely fine.

Since the fans are clean and the paste/putty is fresh, I’m wondering what else could be causing this massive disparity on this specific laptop model:

Could it be an issue with mounting pressure? (e.g., if the new Thermal Grizzly putty is slightly too thick, preventing the heatsink from sitting perfectly flat on the CPU die while still making contact with the GPU?)

Is it possible that the heatsink's heat pipes have failed or lost their vacuum specifically on the CPU side?

Or is this just aggressive ASUS factory boost behavior that absolutely requires undervolting or power limiting?

Any advice on what to check next or how to diagnose this further would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
