I was thinking of picking up a summer project and came across listings for an 88 740 turbo wagon with an m46 trans. It has some rust problems but i saw another listing for a 92 240 wagon with an auto. I was wondering about the plausibility and difficulty of swapping the drivetrain from the 740 into the 240 or is it more worth buying 1 and fixing it up as a project?
