Guarantee of Availability
Situation : I'm Platinum member, I booked a Mercure hotel 2 months ago and will stay 2 months later from today. On Accor app, I checked 'Hotel is full but room is guaranteed due to Platinum status'.
A week ago, hotel suggest me to transfer to other hotel. System allows booking but hotel is full due to group booking.
My response : I checked their suggetions but they are quite away from hotel. They are cheaper too. So, I replied to tranfer another Accor hotel but elevated brand or compensate me with Service Recovery Point(I didn't mention how much I want exactly but let hotel choose) to fulfill T&C.
The former one wasn't accepted due to big price gap and I agree(I knew it could be difficult), and the later one is under no answer. Instead, hotel said point for reservation will be recovered and I don't know they checked my reservation is made with full-flex refundable rate.
Question : Asking compensation point for failure to comply Guarantee of Availability T&C. Is it too much?
