Going back to T-Mobile!!
Need to speak on how horrible AT&T is. Had T-Mobile for like 15 years, no issues, good service (even got 5G in the middle of the Nevada desert where there’s hours of nothing but dirt and rocks around). Switched to AT&T wifi in January (fiber is the best I must say) and they offered a great phone plan for 4 lines so that is the only reason I switched. I was paying $180 for T-Mobile so I was like sure why not save some money. I’m in LA in California so I didnt think service and dead zones were gonna be a problem here. Boy was I wrong. With ATT, you can be in a specific restaurant, in a parking structure, or hell even in my own damn office at work in DTLA and you’ll get dead zones. So many deadzones, in LA! That was one huge issue for me. Next up, I had three instances in which they added additional services which incurred additional monthly fees for no reason! And I had to call customer service and cancel them and still had to pay a pro-rated amount for the few days that the new service was in place. In 5 months, this happened three times! Next up, speeds do seem to slow down at random times. Randomly out of nowhere there would be times where I couldn’t even load up my instagram feed, or search up a site, or something simple like ESPN to check a score. Happens randomly so I assume its those periods of heavy use by nearby users which in turn slows down everyone’s data speed. Never had that issue with T-Mobile. Finally, I travel to Mexico about once or twice a year so international coverage for me is important. Lets just say ATT coverage in Mexico is horrendous. T-Mobile had me covered with data all the time, and although speeds are slower in Mexico, I never really had issues. ATT data in Mexico was so bad that I couldn’t really post anything on instagram until I got to my home in Mexico and got on the wifi.
Honestly had enough and I can’t believe I switched from T-Mobile. Never gave me issues of any kind the time I was with them. I will say T-Mobile is a bit more expensive BUT I would gladly pay that now that I know how ATT is. I am going to switch back this week and will definitely not look back! If you are debating on leaving T-Mobile for ATT, DONT DO IT! If you are thinking about switching to T-Mobile from ATT, YES DO IT! Truly gonna hate telling my fam that I was wrong about leaving T-Mobile because they were hesitant at first, but I guess its a lesson learned for me.
And not to say that T-Mobile includes perks like Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV on us. T-Mobile Tuesdays which is so clutch sometimes, and T-Satellite which can be a game changer. And ATT does not offer any perks like that.
Overall, if this helps anyone make up their mind, I’m more than happy knowing I can save some unnecessary stress hahaha thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
