Earning time for Tears of Azure Sea movie was less than one month!!!! I'm not sure when the exact cut-off date is for the fiscal year ending in March 2026.

This can't be right, anime in general lose money, but holy moly, that's insane if this is true!!

Oricon surveyed 10,000 manga readers to select their top choice from the best selling manga titles of the first half and second half of 2025.

Out of 131 shounen manga titles, TenSura was top 10 and placed 7th overall on the list!!! It's placed below Detective Conan (6th) and above Haikyu!! (8th).

>In the voting for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," male voters accounted for a high 74.2%, showing a significant difference between genders. When looking at the results by age group, each generation from their 40s onward received around 25% of the vote, making it a closely contested outcome.

That's why TenSura fandom's buying power is legit! Its manga readers are most likely people who are already in the workforce. And probably parents with kids, thus a lot of the merch are aiming at kids as well.

Some comments from the people who took part in the survey:

  • I really like the pacing of the story. Since the story is the original "isekai" type, there are parts that are somewhat predictable, which makes it easy to read. - Female, 30s
  • A salaryman is reincarnated in another world and creates a new kingdom; this rags-to-riches road movie about building a civilization from scratch is fascinating. - Male, 30s
  • While it has many classic elements, the nation-building aspect is enjoyable to watch, and the various systems are easy to understand and interesting. - Male, 30s
  • It's a reincarnation story with a protagonist possessing overwhelming skills, but what's even more thought-provoking is the profound content. - Male, 50s
  • I think this manga is a well-rounded story that combines overpowered characters, themes of interconnectedness between different races without discrimination, and moments of both brightness and sadness. - Male, 50s
  • The world-building is easy to understand, the contrast between the people from another world and the reincarnated individuals is well done, and the broken standards of strength are interesting. - Male, 50s

Survey period : February 27, 2026 - March 4, 2026

Sample size : 10,564 people

Default number of votes : 10 or more votes

Number of works surveyed : 131 works

Women: 5,301 people (10s and 20s: 1,021 people, 30s: 1,056 people, 40s: 1,073 people, 50s: 1,081 people, 60s and above: 1,070 people)

  • 2.8% - Chukyo region (Nagoya metro area)
  • 2.8% - Kansai region (Kyoto/Osaka metro area)
  • 3.2% - Kanto region (Tokyo metro area); VR prioritized "Individual household average", TenSura is still top 5 overall!!
  • WHOA!! the ratings for Nippon TV's broadcast of Japan's match vs Tunisia in the World Cup, 30%!! LOL that's insane!!

-----

Manga total sales so far for volume 32.

https://us.oricon-group.com/news/8921/

I'm really shock that Bluelock's new volume release only sold 79k, it should be at least 100,000. Kodansha should totally up their marketing and apply some kind of connection to the World Cup.

Manga ch.143 to release in one more day. Will there be a cliffhanger at the end of it? Because we're close to bodies glowing and lights flowing...

...into non-existence.

EDIT:

The chapter has been released!!

https://kmanga.kodansha.com/title/10044/episode/366177

It went by fast!! There's a very interesting adaptation that Fuse and Kawakami did for the manga.

(Leak!?) Scene of Raphael in the next episode (anime's version of the end of manga ch.130)

Source:

https://x.com/AJPIXEL470/status/2067644504354783326

The exact quote:

>Inside my heart, I thought I felt Raphael smile for me, just a little.

Most likely in episode 12, not next episode 11, but we shall see.

EDIT:

It was this episode, ep.11
