Meet Franky

We adopted this sweet senior from our local humane society. We don't quite know his age. The last owners got him from someone else, had him for 10 months and largely left him outside. They said they think he's 9, but the vet looked him over and thought he was closer to 6. In any case, he's got a lot of energy and happily kept up with his 4 y.o. bluetick coonhound sister, Echo, on a challenging 4 mile hike up Cliff yesterday.

We named him Franky, after my Pap who passed earlier this year. My Pap was a hunter and he had beagles before I was born. It just felt fitting and he wasn't attached to his shelter name anyways.

Franky's a real love. Wants to be with his people. He seems fascinated with the view out the attic window. I wonder if he ever had such a perspective before. Best of all, he seems to have settled in like he's always been here.
